This site is mainly dedicated to Nikon brand cameras.
Except in trade fair or exhibition reports, there is little news about Canon, Leica, Panasonic, OM system or Fujifilm brand cameras. This is not due to a lack of interest but simply time, fortunately many sites, including those of the brands, compensate for this absence.

The Canon brand was founded in 1937 by Dr. Takeshi Mitarai as Precision Optical Instruments Laboratory. The company originally focused on developing high-quality cameras, and its first model, the Kwanon, was launched in 1934 with a Nikon lens.
In 1935, the brand was renamed Canon, and today, Canon is a global giant in various industries, including photography, printing, medical imaging, industrial equipment, and advanced optical solutions.
Headquartered in Tokyo, Canon Inc. is the world's largest camera manufacturer with a history spanning more than 80 years, during which it has achieved some of the most significant innovations in photographic and video technology.

The Canon EOS R range, dedicated to full-frame mirrorless cameras, is based on the EOS mount created in 1987 by the world leader in photography Canon.
The Canon EOS R range has exceptional image quality, its cameras can use EF and EF-S lenses via an adapter. The autofocus of the cameras is advanced: with Dual Pixel CMOS AF II and thousands of autofocus points.
These cameras have high-quality video modes, integrated stabilization (IBIS).
Canon offers a complete APS-C and Full-Frame range, from professional models like the R1 R3 and R5 to more accessible options like the R6 and RP.
