Nikon Z7 II versus Sony A7R IV

version française

After the competition between Canon and Nikon on SLRs, a new disruptive challenger appeared: Sony.
Sony had bought Minolta in 2005 and proposed digital SLRs, first with classic mirror then in 2010 with semi-transparent mirror. In October 2013, Sony introduces a new E-mount and its first mirror-less hybrid camera with full-frame sensor and interchangeable lenses.
Sony creates a new market with two photo models (A7 and A7R), full format of 24 and 36 million pixels. This market is in fact a replacement / substitution market for the declining market for DSLRs.

Sony's business strategy is different from those of Nikon and Canon. While Nikon and Canon have, at one moment, an extensive range of recent DSLRs models, from the simple camera to the pro camera. Sony regularly introduces new versions of its two devices A7 and A7R but lower the price of previous new models of its cameras and continues to offer the others for sale, which allows to have a range of cameras from the oldest to the most recent.

Sony has just presented Sony A7R V competing with the Nikon Z7 II, or even the Nikon Z9.
