Treasure's box and digital photography.

During childhood, we fill some tinplate or shoes boxes with full of small treasures: piece of string, Dinky Toys cars, balls, the golden button of a jacket, an old black and white photography or a starfish…
Later we add them with a boarding card coupon of a New York flight, a foutain pen, some letters, a coin..

What relationship with the digital photography: It is simple, the simple fact of finding this box or these objects inside it allows you to return immediatly on the past.

Could we put a save DVD or an URL inside a tin box? Why not! But if the painting of Dinky Toys left in some place or if the photo is cracked and yellowed, that adds to their charm and their emotional value of the material item. A DVD which became unreadable or an obsolete Internet address is less poetic.
How man fyamily vidéos, taken ten years ago, are today unreadable because writing in a format VHS-C, Video 8 now forgotten.

That does not surprise anybody and everybody continues to produce more and more digital photographs.

Keep we to dematerialize our imagination and our feelings.
