Diane Arbus American photographer

Born in 1923 in New York, she is married in 1941 with Allan Arbus, future actor,
that offers her a camera. Her first girl Doon is born in 1945, the second Amy in 1954.
She collaborates early to Glamour and Fashion then she studies with Alexey Brodovitch, and encounters Brassaï.
Diane Arbus seeks to understand the world and became then the photographer of minorities: celebrities of circuses,
freaks, dwarves, nudists, famille... different peoples. A first exhibition to the MoMA with Lee Friedlander
and Garry Winogrand celebrates her work in 1967.
She suicided herself 26 July 1971, at 48 years, two years after her was divorced..
