Henri Cartier-Bresson From October 15, 2019 to February 9, 2020, The HCB Foundation presented in Paris an exhibition of photos of Cartier Bresson, unpublished testimony of two moments keys to the history of China: the fall of the Kuomintang and the establishment of the communist regime (1948-1949) and the "Great Leap Forward" by Mao Zedong (1958).

Henri Cartier-Bresson is born in 1908 in Chanteloup, Seine-et-Marne.
After having study with surrealists, he spent a year in Ivory Coast in 1931 and began to photography.
It has an exhibition next year in New York. In 1934, it lived a year to Mexico then switched to the cinema with Paul
Strand then in 1939 as a deputy director with Jean Renoir.
During the Second World War, Henri Cartier-Bresson is captured by Germans, after two attempts, he escaped in February 1943.
In 1946, declared missing, the MOMA of New York devotes him a posthumous exhibition.
In 1947, Henri Cartier-Bresson , Robert Capa, David Seymour and George Rodger created the famous Magnum agency.
He passed the three next years in Orient, trip during which he met Ghandi in India, was the witness of the birth of the
Popular Republic of China and the independence of Indonesia.
Then, he went in USSR and came back in China.
In 1974 Henri Cartier-Bresson stops the photography and devotes to the drawing, he dies in August 2004.

Giacometti, Sartre, Faulkner or Camus, and so others ware captured at this decisive instant, so much portraits
for the eternity.
