News from CP+ 2023

version française

In 2023, the CP+ "Camera & Photo Imaging Show" in Yokohama is coming back for the first time in 4 years in Japan, after the 2020 edition canceled due to Covid and two editions 2021 and 2022 exclusively online.
Since the shutdown of Photokina, it has been one of the last major photo fairs in a market where the volume of cameras sold has been divided by twelve over the past ten years. Camera prices have doubled in the past three years.
Sony Semiconductor Solutions CEO says, "Smartphone image quality will surpass that of single-lens reflex cameras in 2024"
The photo market is therefore becoming a niche market with increasingly high-performance cameras, mostly full-frame or larger, expensive and generating significant margins.
